Some ink stuff I did for fun that I’m thinking about embroidering later to hang in my apartment. It’s not the best, but I’m gonna clean it up some more.
Been listening to the Frames a lot, but mostly God Bless Mom because it struck a chord. For those of you that don’t follow my personal blog, my mom has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was basically given 6 months to a year to live in March. It’s no stretch to say that this year has been pretty shit. My mom is doing alright and is taking things really well, but her strength of character has been such an inspiration through it all. She’s really been my pillar of strength growing up, and is the reason I pursued a career in art. I love her more than anyone on this whole damned planet. This is for her.

Eventually my art won’t be just bust sketches facing left. I’m actually working on something I’m calling the “Tell a Story Project” (working title) where I
force encourage myself to write a story in small segments and illustrate 1-3 significant parts of said segment/chapter in an attempt to get back into making finished things and to also get better at constructing illustrations. It’s a lofty challenge for myself, especially since I’ve been dealing with a lot of difficult life things lately and a severe lack of creative energy (or energy in general) that has made me only want to sleep, knit, eat, and sleep (in that order). So. That’s what’s been happening. Hello! to any new followers, and sorry for the lack of updates.
Doodling today. Trying to figure out some characters I have rumbling around in my head. Also, I just really wanted to draw a bearded ginger guy. With freckles. Lots of freckles.
You have the most gorgeous art! Never stop! c:
Thank you, friend! I am on the art crusade for life. :)
ever feel like you’re drowning? lately, I am. it’s like something is swallowing me up or i’m being weighed down.
I dreww somethiiiing! There are a few proportional issues, but I’m liking the design. I missed my col-erase pencils. They’re still my favorite drawing tool ever, and they make my sketchy lines look magical.
1. new icon image for my personal blog.
2. a dress I’ve been dying to draw. heavily inspired by Elsa Billgren’s vintage fabulousness, Christina Hendricks, and a pair of espadrilles I can’t walk in.
A slightly inaccurate portrait of what I wore today.
Colored my earlier sketch!
