My boyfriend has a really red beard. Pirate name potential right there.
So apparently it’s witchsona week, and I decided to participate! I’ve always liked plants (even though I’m horrible at keeping them), and am fascinated by herb lore, so I figure I’d make a pretty decent magical homeopathic apothecary. Now if only my hair would actually stay that fluffy…
Some sketches I’ve done recently. The first two are a pair from a story I’ve been writing up about a traveling magician who gets tangled up with a pair of children and their stern-looking governess. It takes place in 19th century Sweden.
The last is obviously Thorin smoking his pipe. :)
So back in December, doctorbatman commissioned me to do a series of playing card portraits for cynthiacloud's family who play Red Dragon Inn, which I'm told is riotously fun. It took me way longer than I intended as I lost my tablet while trying to finish the last one, and I feel horrible because these were supposed to be Christmas presents. I'm so sorry, David! I am the worst, but I hope you like these! I definitely had a lot of fun doing some digital work again.
It’s cold and rainy and I am catching the winter blues and having single lady feels. I just want a big, fluffy man-bear to cuddle with and watch netflix and drink tea so I drew one. It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been listening to copious amounts of Elbow. Sigh.
I’ve been listening to Ásgeir Trausti for a solid two weeks now, and I decided that I needed to draw him. His English album just released in the UK, but it’s not available in the US (which is BS), so I’ve been doing my best to sing along with the Icelandic version. It’s really goooooood!
… And also, I think he’s super attractive, so there’s that.
